Balut

“A balut is a fertilized duck (or chicken) egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. It is commonly sold as streetfood in the Philippines.”
The following series of pictures is how I spent the night with ah Zhen, it was a truly enlightening experience, that has changed my life in many ways, and one I never wish to repeat.

I am back, butties!!!!!
I went to over 10 azn markets today, and got tons of good shit. First up, NATTO!
The picture does not do justice to the stickiness of these beans, you feel like Spiderman as these gooey morsels slide down your throat.

Quick lunch at Ootoya at Orchard Central.
This is the Ootoya Special Set which is basically fried chicken and pork.

And this is the oyakodon set

Nothing really outstanding about the food to be honest but the presentation is good and the service was pretty good also.

Dinner at Cugini on a cold and rainy evening.
Starting off with some bread appetizers. The red bits are tomato pulp which adds a nice flavour to the bread.
