This is my 2nd time eating at Nagomi and it’s still as good as the 1st time I visited them a year back. Very good for small intimate dinners or gatherings, and for those who want that authentic Japanese feel for their dining place.

Being inspired by reading Foodie-ah’s gnocchi alla salsiccia recipe, I decided to make something similar for my own lunch.

Because I wanted to have a go at making the gnocchi by hand, I made the rest of the cooking as simple as possible.

Of course the main ingredient to go with the gnocchi would be some Italian sausages!

Chicken lollipops are actually served mainly as an appetizer but I decided to make more and eat them as my dinner!

The ‘lollipops’ are basically made by scraping down the meat of a chicken drumlet to one end, and then I marinated them in some soy sauce.

CMC Confectionery is one of those institutions in Singapore that retain the memories of the past. I first saw this place in the “Old Places” documentary that was produced by Royston Tan, and it had such a poignant feel that I just wanted to visit it to see for myself.
