Making okonomiyaki at home

Posted on: January 29, 2010

Making okonomiyaki at home by copying what I made myself in Tokyo. The main ‘meat’ is actually Japanese cabbage.

Slice & dice it up real gooood

Wash it then spin dry!

Cutting up some pork and prawns as toppings

Make batter from flour, egg and dashi

Mix up cabbage and prawns with the batter

Start frying in the pan with the thin slices of pork

MacGyvering up some okonomiyaki sauce with tonkatsu sauce

When it’s done, added the sauce, some mayo, and seaweed. Yum yum!

yay now i can make okonomiyaki without having to pay a bomb for it in restaurants!

Hahaha yeah! It costs too much to eat at restaurants man, much better to make it at home. And more fun too when you can get everyone to join in the making!
