Spaghetti with sausages and mushrooms

Posted on: April 15, 2010

What to do when you’re lazy and want to whip up a quick meal? Use sausages and mushrooms! No brains needed! Just throw in everything 😀

Actually I just raided the fridge to see what we had and came up with brown mushrooms and baerlauch pork sausages.

To use sausages in pasta, you will have to use fresh meat sausages, preferably Italian ones for their spices. I’m using German sausages here only because it’s what I found in the fridge.

So you have to slit the casing and remove the fillings, then break it all up.

Chop up all those mushrooms – makes a huge mountain of them!

Chop chop chop onions and saute them until they become translucent and fall apart

Then saute the mushrooms until they shrink a lot in volume

Then sausage fillings in! Stir until it’s mostly cooked.

Then finally pour in the tomatoes and simmer for a while. Add liberal grindings of black pepper and sprinkle some basil.

And that’s a quick and easy lunch!

How to prepare white cream sauce?

Instead of tomato, use 1/4 cup of heavy cream and 1/2 tbsp of butter. Reduce on medium heat until it starts to thicken. If you think it’s too little, then just add more cream & butter proportionately.

Then toss the spaghetti in the cream and finish off with parmesan on top.

amazing. 😀 thanks you~
