Hashida Sushi is supposed to be a well-known sushi-ya in Kachidoki, Tokyo, but I must admit I’ve not heard of the place before. That said, there are many excellent sushi-yas in Tokyo that I’m pretty sure I’ve never heard of either.
While the restaurant in Tokyo is run by Tokio Hashida, it is his son, Kenjiro Hashida who is at the helm of their first overseas sushi restaurant here in Singapore.
Considering that they’re following in the footsteps of Shinji by Kanesaka, I wanted to give them a try and see which one I preferred.
I went for the lunch omakase, so that I could compare it with Shinji.
Then a short course of sushi begins.
A dish of richness, uni, toro and ikura on sushi rice.
I heard that Kenjiro is trained in patisserie and he makes these macarons himself.
