Artichoke is chef-owner Bjorn Shen’s idea of a modern Mediterranean food heaven, and probably mine too.

The food is outstanding and constantly creative, in the way they modernise and introduce new variations on traditional Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine.

Artichoke is however, ideally a place for groups to dine at. Because some of the dishes can be pretty rich and heavy, so that you don’t eat too much of a good thing, and also allowing you to share many different types of dishes.

Usually their stewed beef dishes are very good, and so were these stewed short ribs.

Oh and the date pudding above is bloody awesome. Everyone always wants to order this when we come to Artichoke!
