Tucked deep inside the recesses of Sin Ming Industrial Estate, there’s a gem of a zi char restaurant called New Ubin Seafood.

Just around the corner is where you’ll find it, amidst all the workshops and broken cars waiting to be fixed.

You can either sit inside in one of the few aircon rooms.

Or outside which is where you’ll normally be sitting if it’s a small group.

The seafood at New Ubin is excellent, and they have a huge variety.

A lot of their dishes can also be cooked in multiple options so there’s lots of variety.

One thing that is unique about New Ubin is that they even specialise in western dishes.

One of the best known signature dish is this US Black Angus ribeye steak, seared to perfection and cubed.

The rendered beef fat is then used to fry up a sinful plate of fried rice.
