The Dirty Stall

Pizzeria al Leoncino

Posted on: August 14, 2015

Everyone visiting Rome invariably ends up visiting the Piazza di Spagna to see the Spanish Steps, so taking a left down Via dei Condotti, the street of all the branded luxury goods, is pretty much a given too.

But if you just go on further down, you’ll come across this little neighbourhood pizzeria at the junction of Via del Leoncino and Via della Fontanella di Borghese.

For me, Pizzeria al Leoncino‘s pizza Margherita was a revelation. Looks so dull but tastes so good! And it doesn’t even look like the usual one with basil leaves and buffalo mozzarella, but I don’t care because they made the flavours work.

The other pizzas weren’t so amazing. Should have just ordered more of the Margherita.
