The Dirty Stall

Antica Sa Pesta

Posted on: October 28, 2015

Antica Sa Pesta originally started in 1882 as a place that sold salt, as its name referred to a traditional method (sa pesta) of breaking up salt into smaller grains by pounding it with a pestle and mortar.

Later it became well known as a place that sold excellent snacks such as farinata which is a pancake made from chickpea flour.

Soon afterwards, they became a proper restaurant as what you see now, and they’ve made pesto as one of their specialties.

Pots of basil on the tables, clearly showing their specialty.

Looks so plain and simple.

But seriously, best pesto ever!

A side of grilled swordfish steak.
